SUPA-SWELL is a hydrophilic waterstop joint sealant composed of natural sodium bentonite clay and butyl rubber.
The SUPA-SWELL waterstop joint sealants are used for the waterproof sealing of construction joints in concrete. According to the type of waterstop, the sealant can be used in both fresh water and/or salt water applications, making the SUPA-SWELL waterstop or joint sealants very versatile.
SUPA-SWELL T WATERSTOP
Joint sealants are coated with a special coating to prevent premature swelling of the waterstop after installing and before concreting. The advantage of this coating is that the sealants keep their full swell capacity in the joint. The expansion capacity of the SUPA-SWELL T waterstop reaches a maximum of 450%.
However, sustained contact with water before concreting is to be avoided.
SUPA-SWELL S WATERSTOP
Joint sealants are developed for use in both fresh water and sea water
as well as in brackish water. The expansion capacity of this waterstop in fresh water equals that of the SUPA-SWELL T types: maximum 450%. In sea water a minimum capacity of 200% is reached.
SUPA-SWELL SQ WATERSTOP
This waterstop is a special version without coating and with a higher reactivity so that it reaches much faster its maximum swelling capacity. This type is especially suited for dryer regions (Middle East, Africa ...)
SUPA-SWELL waterstop is harmless for the environment and may be used when in contact with drinking water.
